Consultant to Finalize 3G/4G Licence Memorandum Next Month

The consultant hired for finalising the auction of 3G/4G licences will finalise its Information Memorandum (IM) within the first 10 days of the next month.

The consultant has also been assigned to recommend the allocation of additional frequency for launch of 4G through upcoming auction which will increase revenues for the government.

The Ministry of Information Technology convened a consultative meeting with the CEOs of cellular companies on the auction of 3G/4G licences on 28th jan, 2014. The meeting was convened on the request of CEO of telecoms as they wanted to give their inputs to the hired consultant before they unveiled their IM.The consultant hired for finalising the auction of 3G/4G licences will finalise its Information Memorandum
