Pakistan Witnessing Rise in 4G Connections: CEO Zong

With large investments in the latest technology and extending fastest internet services, Zong has succeeded in sustaining its number one slot with 3,094,683 3G and 132,502 4G/LTE users by the end of July 2015.

According to the latest figures given by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s (PTA), total data users in Pakistan reached 14,614,411 at the end of July.

Zong has 132,502 4G users having coverage in 11 cities, while Warid managed to get 121,602 users with having coverage in 17 cities.

PTA’s recent statistics shows that the number of 3G/4G subscribers is constantly growing. Telecom users have many options for 3G services as Mobilink, Telenor, Ufone and Zong are offering state-of-the-art 3G services. Though only two companies Zong and Warid are providing 4G LTE services to their customers.

Besides having 4G subscribers, the Chinese company Zong has raised additional 3,094,684 3G subscribers, while its contender managed to get 121,602 4G/LTE users. After 3G/4G auction in Pakistan, Zong was the first telecom company to launch 4G/LTE services after getting 4G license for $210 million along with 3G licenses, which totaled $902.82 million.

CEO Zong, was of the opinion:

“Zong believes in providing best quality services to its customers. We always come up with latest technology on affordable rates but never compromised on quality of our services, therefore, we are now enjoying highest number of active 4G subscribers.”
