PTA Invites Written Comments on the Proposed Merger of Mobilink and Warid

On 15th December 2015, Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited (Mobilink), and Warid Telecom (Private) Limited filed a notification of proposed change in substantial ownership interest of Warid, and the request for permission of merger between Mobilink and Warid before Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

PTA Invites Written Comments on the Proposed Merger of Mobilink and Warid

In this regard, PTA has notified in today’s newspapers and invited all the telecom consumers, stakeholders, interested or affected persons and the general public to submit their written comments regarding the subject merger to the Director General Commercial Affairs, PTA Headquarters, F-5/1, Islamabad. Comments can also be sent on [email protected]. The comments must reach till 22nd April 2016 on these mentioned addresses so that PTA can act while keeping in view the concerned parties regarding the approval of Mobilink-Warid merger.
