PTA Orders to Verify Data SIMs Through BVS till 31 Dec 2015

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has ordered all data SIM providers to verify their Data SIMS through biometric verification system till December 31st.2015.

Earlier this year Cellular operators were already verified their SIMs through BVS. After the verification of SIMs through Biometric Verification System (BVS) earlier this year number of the active SIMs reached to 111.5 million. According to a recent report by PTA mobile users in Pakistan have increased as the number of active SIMs has been increased by 1.6 million in the country.

As per the new order by PTA, PTCL and other data service providers asked their customers to verify their EVO and other devices through BVS before deadline which is December 31st 2015.

PTCL is currently communicating its customers through SMS and email to get their devices verified to avoid any troubles after the deadline. However There are around 1.2 million EVO, Charji and Nitro customers in country. So here is very short time for PTCL and other data service providers to get their customers verified through biometric verification system.
