UC Browser Makes 33 Percent Market Share in Pakistan

UCWeb, provider of mobile internet software and services is a part of Alibaba group. UC Browser is a mobile browser developed by Chinese mobile Internet company UCWeb also known as UC Mobile. UCWeb reveals that this October its UC Browser reached a share of 33.76 percent of the monthly page view market in Pakistan. The company informed that UC Browser demand is growing in Pakistan primarily due to its incessant product localization that caters to underserved user demands, technologies that accelerate web browsing as well as increase the use of the smartphone.

UC Browser Makes 33 Percent Market Share in Pakistan

The report further reveals that at present male users account for more than 91.5 percent of Pakistan’s internet user base. Consumers below the age of 25 years make almost half of the country’s total internet user base. Only half of internet users subscribe to mobile traffic packages of 500 MB and above. One out of two customers accesses the internet using 2G and above mobile networks.
