Taimur Faiz Cheema Head of Marketing at Ufone quit his job resigning from the company. He has been working from the past 8 years. Taimur joined Ufone in 2008 and was working as the head of VAS till 2012.
Ufone’s Head of Marketing Taimur Cheema Resigns
Taimur Cheema replaced Akber Khan who moved to Etisalat and was appointed as the head of marketing. After holding the charge he played a key role and supervised the overall marketing departments and functions of the company.
The news of resignation still remains unconfirmed as Ufone still has to announce the details and confirmation of the resignation. Mr. Cheema was quite well respected in the company and it would be a challenge to get a better replacement of Mr. Cheema to sustain the quality of their marketing department which remains intact despite Ufone slipping to number 4 position in the market.

Ufone slipped from second place in 2005 to third place by 2011, and in the able hands of Mr. Cheema and stewardship of Mr. Aziz, Ufone slipped to 4th place.
Mr. Cheema may soon have an opportunity in Ghana, where Mr Asher Yaqoob, his ex-boss and brother-in-law, has recently joined as CEO of a reputable mobile operator.
