Zong 4G Launch Event in Islamabad

After Karachi, Zong has successfully organized a grand Zong 4G Launch Event Islamabad in Islamabad. The company has decided to launch this service in seven major cities of the country during the first phase, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Quetta.

Anusha Rahman, Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) was invited as a chief guest of the event. Federal Secretary IT, Mr. Azmat Ali Rangha, Chairman PTA, Dr. Ismail Shah and the first Chairman of PTA were present at the event.

Zong will also be offering 4G-enabled smartphone to provide the customer with a complete bouquet of hardware and service provision

Zong has already invested $3 billion in Pakistan with 3000 3G cell sites and 600 4G cell sites throughout Pakistan. While talking to the attendees of the event, the management also claimed to have the biggest 3G subscriber base in Pakistan.

The company also showed its interest to invest $1bn more in the coming years to deploy network for next generation technologies, where it plans to expand 3G cell sites from 3000 to 4000.
