Coming Soon: Express Even More in 140 Characters on Twitter

In March, many reports regarding Twitter revealed that it was considering to increase its 140-character limit to 10,000-character restriction but the CEO Jack Dorsey denied the change and called it baseless rumors. It seems like the company followed the rumor and finally decided that it is easing its 140-character limit for tweets, allowing users to add links, attachments and some other features within the short messages.

Coming Soon: Express Even More in 140 Characters on Twitter

On this change the Twitter product manager Todd Sherman said in a statement that:

“So, you can already do a lot in a tweet, but we want you to be able to do even more. In the coming months, we ll make changes to simplify tweets, including what counts toward your 140 characters.”

He also added that the names in replies, and media attachments such as photos, videos and polls will no longer be counted toward the character limit. Market experts views this change in a very positive way. They say that these changes would also be welcomed by business companies who are looking to push their products using Twitter platform.

According to Twitter these updates would be implemented over the coming months. So Twitteratis no need to upload screenshots of longer text and or send many tweets one after the other to tell a story. Just wait for few more days and enjoy the bonus of getting more space for adding text
