Huawei is equipped with 1.1 GHz Quad Core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM, which is further expandable up to 32GB using Micro SD card. 5″ HD IPS display is perfect for watching HD video and playing games. Design of Huawei Y6 :

Huawei Y6 has got decent designed with 5 inches IPS display and patterned back cover. The dimensions measures 143.5 x 72.1 x 8.5 mm and just 8.5 mm thick which are ultimately become handy and catchy handset. It weighs almost 155 grams which a bit heavy. There’s no telling than 5.0-inch Huawei Y6 apart from its golden shiny edges that makes it handy. Huawei Y6 comes in two variant colors that are white, and Black. The smartphone we have at Lab has White color. It presents stylish outlook with sleek and compact design but unfortunately it has old design factor.

Display of Huawei Y6 :

Huawei is packed with 5.0 inches IPS LCD display of 720 px screen resolution, The display screen has covered almost 70% area of front, while the virtual buttons are placed inside the screen. As usual the upper portion of front has ear speaker and camera along with notification LED. The touch screen has 300 dots per inch and resolution measures 720 x 1280 px, while the screen has viewing issue from different angles. Huawei Y6 has some issue with touch and response time as its touch is bit slow and sticky as compare to other smartphones. Yet the display of Huawei Y6 is suitable of gaming. Graphics matters are controlled by Qualcomm Andreno 304 GPU.

Processor of Huawei Y6 :

Huawei Y6 is powered by the efficient Qualcomm 8209, 1.1 GHz Quad core Processor, Qualcomm is leading processor chips provider from all around the word, but still resounds rather negative thoughts due to the numerous overheating reports.

Unlike other Qualcomm powered devices, though the Huawei has a Quad Core processor with four Cortex-A7 cores at 1.9 GHz and 1GB RAM with 8GB model (as is ours).

It gets heat up quite a lot around its top, when uses at its high frequency. It also gets heat up in normal use even with normal tasks such as updating apps. So have that in mind, if you are bothered by such things.

Memory for Huawei Y6 :

Huawei Y6 is equipped with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM. The internal memory can be expanded upto 32 GB, 1 GB is quite sufficient to play games and watch HD movies, However it will troubles in multitasking because it does not have sufficient memory. Well, the internal memory section; Huawei Y6 is equipped with 8GB of ROM to accommodate data for long term.

Camera within Huawei Y6:

The Huawei is furnished with 8 Megapixel camera on the back with autofocus, and 720p video recording. The front has 2 MP camera with efficient result. Both the cameras have quick response time. The standard Photos mode has some advanced shooting modes such as HDR, Beauty and Best Shoot. The Best Shoot option snaps multiple photos and combines them into a single image for better quality. It is important to mention that camera app does not possess its own gallery but only shows a preview of the last shot. The moment you touch the image, you’re taken to the gallery.

 

Rear Camera of Huawei Y6:

Huawei is equipped 8 MP AF camera with sharp LED camera having Geo-tagging option. The dimensions of an image are (3264 x 2448) pixels with the size of 3.84 MB which may vary due to light and colors in captured image. Huawei Y6 rear camera has LED and AF focus option that enables you to capture image in dark places with the good result. The camera has different mode, the Panorama, HDR, All-focus, Best photo, and Watermark. The watermark mode adds detail of temperature, location and date in the image. Front Camera of Huawei Y6:

Huawei Y6 has 2 MP secondary camera at the front that works fine for selfies, however not equipped with LED Flash. The front camera works fine on Skype app. image resolution of front camera is (1600 x 1200) px. The detail of image is given in below snapshot. Now selfie lover can take selfies anywhere, any time with Huawei Y6. There are three modes available for front camera; that are Panorama, watermark, and mirror.

Battery performance and Internal Storage of Huawei Y6:

Huawei Y6 is powered by a removable 2,200 mAh battery; which is quite suitable to support your Huawei y6 for long time. The Huawei Y6 did improve the 3G talk time, but not much impressive in the video playback and web browsing tests. The 3G performance turned out quite poor, which should have been better. Despite of concerns, the Huawei Y6 has a respectable overall rating of standby time. The expected time between charges is the use of device for an hour each of calls, browsing and video playback a day.

Huawei Y6 comes with two variant colors one is black and other one is white. It has metallic color edge with smooth finishing, the thick bezel around the screen ensure the protection. Interface Experience for Huawei Y6:

Huawei Y6 has its own custom interface supported by Android. It uses EXUI 2.0 interface, icons are designed simple and elegantly. As you can check in snapshots; while notification has two columns one shows time of notification and second column shows notification. You can switch to quick settings from shortcuts option. The lock screen is the usual affair to show missed notifications. Swiping left or right will fire up the dialer or the camera.

The home screen, you can see the weather app, your most used apps and frequent contacts. You can also add widgets here and change the header image. You can also disable or enable it later through the home-screen settings menu. By default it has four home screens slides, while you can add or delete the slide according to your need.

Benchmarking of Huawei Y6:

While testing the Huawei Y6 with benchmarking tool, it has shown good result which impressive for an entry level smartphone. In test, the app checks performance of processor, which include single core and multi core test and also checks browser performance. The result shows that Huawei Y6 has packed with (720 x 1280) px screen resolution.

Huawei y6 has beaten the HTC and Samsung GT-19300 with leading points of 14698. it proves its efficiency is better and reliable.

Checking the (GPU) graphics performance of Huawei Y6:

While checking the Huawei Y6 with GPU benchmark app, it shows the following result, 9,416 score in overall performance and 8,108 screen resolution score. As its pixel density is a bit low to just 300 dpi, while the graphics are tackled by Adreno GPU 304, which is bit outdated, old fashioned. Well, despite of having low points, it can still play games smoothly, and play HD videos efficiently.
